Overgrown Typography Environment
The Overgrown typography animation pairs procedural ivy growth with original environment design, lighting and cinematic 3D composition.
Overview
This personal project explores procedural ivy growth across large-scale typography inside a fully designed 3D environment.
INSYDIUM’s Ivy Growth training informed the branching technique. The project then adapted the system to the scale, surfaces and composition of the scene.
First, X-Particles controls how the ivy spreads across the typography. The growth follows the forms while preserving a clear silhouette.
Next, the project builds the surrounding environment from scratch. Materials, lighting and architectural elements create a distinct setting for the vegetation.
Camera composition connects the typography, growth and environment into one cinematic view. Adobe After Effects then supports the final compositing and refinement.
The finished Overgrown typography animation combines procedural growth with original art direction. The technique comes from the INSYDIUM training, while the environment and final visual treatment remain independent work.
