Presto Parcel – 2D Character Explainer Video

This personal project was created to explore the complete development of a character-led explainer video for a fictional parcel delivery service.
The main challenge was to communicate a process involving several different stages, from arranging a shipment to final delivery, without making the explanation feel technical, repetitive or overloaded with information.
To solve this, the service was structured as a simple customer journey rather than a sequence of disconnected features. Two main characters, a delivery driver and the parcel recipient, guide the viewer through the story and provide a consistent visual thread from beginning to end.
Each stage of the delivery process was translated into a clear animated scene, allowing service features and promotional messages to be introduced naturally as part of the narrative. Particular attention was given to pacing and transitions so that the viewer could understand each step while the animation continued to feel light, friendly and engaging.
Character animation, typography and supporting motion graphics were combined to create a cohesive visual language, with the characters helping to humanise what could otherwise be a fairly functional logistics explanation.
The animation was created in Adobe After Effects, with final editing, timing and assembly completed in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The result is a complete 2D explainer study showing how narrative structure, character animation and motion design can simplify a service, communicate its benefits and make the overall customer experience easier to understand.
This was created as a personal portfolio project and was not commissioned by a real parcel delivery company.
