Breakfast, Your Way – Guest Ordering App

A mobile-first breakfast ordering app designed to replace a manual, error-prone process with one clear experience for guests and a more reliable workflow for the hospitality team.

Personal project 2026 – Present

Breakfast ordering at Titanic Guest Boutique relied on a process that created friction for both guests and staff. Guests needed to communicate their choices, quantities, dietary requirements and preferred serving time before the following morning, while the team had to interpret that information, identify missing details and organise preparation across limited breakfast slots.

The challenge was not simply to digitise a menu. The ordering journey needed to remain warm and easy for guests while capturing enough structured information for the team to prepare every order accurately. It also had to work comfortably on a mobile phone, accommodate different party sizes and prevent incomplete or contradictory selections from reaching the kitchen.

One Road mapped the full guest and operational workflow before designing the application. Rather than presenting one long form, the experience was divided into a series of focused steps covering booking details, menu selection, quantities, meal customisation, drinks, dietary information, special requests and breakfast time.

Conditional logic was introduced so that the questions shown respond to each guest’s choices. When several meals are ordered, the app ensures that the required customisations match the selected quantities. This reduces missing information and removes much of the manual clarification previously required from the team.

The time-slot system was designed around the boutique’s real breakfast capacity, helping distribute orders across the morning rather than allowing too many guests to select the same time. A defined evening deadline also gives the team sufficient visibility to plan ingredients, preparation and service for the following day.

Before submitting, guests can review their complete order, confirm their selections and see the final amount clearly. The resulting information is structured for operational use, giving the team a more dependable view of what needs to be prepared, for whom and at what time.

The result is a guided mobile ordering experience that improves the guest journey while reducing administrative work, preventable errors and last-minute uncertainty for the team. What began as a breakfast form became a purpose-built hospitality tool shaped around the way the boutique actually operates.
